Stocking Filler #1: Music To Blog To

Coming up to Christmas, it’s the perfect time for music stores (yes, they still exist) to release compilation CDs as stocking fillers. You know, the Absolute Bestest Greatest Christmas Songs Of All Time! Volume 3, etc etc.

Which got me to thinking, there are no CDs for bloggers as far as I’m aware, so here is my list of tracks for your very own Music To Blog To CD. Just visit iTunes, add these to your playlist and you’re off. No, thank me later.

Blog Me A River
Justin Timberlake inspired us all when he released this bouncy tune about blogging productivity.

I Heard It Through The Blogvine
Marvin Gaye sang this soulful tune about a blogger who hears from other bloggers that his blog’s not really all that.

Y’ain’t Nothin’ But A Splogger
Elvis belted out this hit damning those irksome bloggers who just can’t help but peddle their tacky wares online in the guise of a ‘real’ blog.

What A Wonderful Blog
Rich Minx was rather touched when Otis Redding crooned this classic for an undisclosed fee. Traffic went up at least 3.68%.

I Can Read Clearly Now
Jonny Nash was relieved when the average font size online rose from 10 to 11 - and he discovered Screen Resolution in his computer settings.

Morning Has Broken (And So Has My Blog)
Cat Stevens cursed the unreliability of his servers in this hearty folk tune.

Don’t Cry Tonight (I’ll Still Read Your Blog)
A haunting Guns n Roses ballad about the bleak feeling shared by many when we check our Google AdSense balances.

The Sound of Silence
Simon and Garfunkel’s mournful duet about not having any readers or fresh content cuts real deep.

Private Blogger
Tina Turner put bloggers-for-hire on the map via this 80s chart-topper.

That should be enough to get you started. Which tracks would you add?
