Sunday Q&A
Every Sunday in the paper there is a Q&A with a local celebrity. I’m not a celebrity. Despite that, or because of it, I’m going to answer the questions here on my blog. Because that’s what blogs are for, and I like the well-rounded selection of questions (I’m adding a few of my own). If you enjoy it, answer the same questions on your own blog, or just in the comments.
(PS. I realize my posts lately have been very weekend oriented. It’s just a phase.)
What do you do on Sunday morning?
Go for a run, if I’m up to it. Otherwise, crawl out of bed, grab the paper from the mailbox, get coffee, put on some music, sprawl on the living room floor and read for the next hour.
What’s the last CD you bought?
CD? We’re going back a few generations there. Currently on my iPod is a lot of The Cure, I’m going through a real Cure phase. Not Friday I’m in Love, though - that song’s far too inappropriately happy.
What were you like at high school?
Depends on the year. By my final year I was writing tragic poems and dreaming of meeting someone called Pierre in Paris and having my own ID to buy alcohol.
What are you ashamed of about yourself?
My over-sensitivity. More annoyed than ashamed. What are you looking at?
Most annoying celebrity?
Anyone with really pouty trout lips.
What offends you?
People who cancel plans at the last minute for no good reason. Friday I’m in Love by The Cure.
Who do you want to play you in the movie of your life?
Jennifer Connelly; Michelle Pfeiffer, for the later years and cheekbones I haven’t had yet.
What’s the best thing about being single?
Being seen more as an individual.
What’s the best thing about being in love?
There is always someone to read your blog.
What would your Mastermind topic be?
Music lyrics. I don’t choose them, they choose me.
What was the last book you didn’t finish?
Crime and Punishment. Too bleak.
What’s your favorite movie scene?
The opening scene of Citizen Kane with the shattered snow globe, and the gangsta printer-destroying scene in Office Space. “PC Load Letter? What the **** does that mean?!”
When was the last time you got drunk and what were you drinking?
Last weekend; white and red wine (not together, I don’t think), then tasty but lethal Baileys.
Share with us one of the lamest moments of your life.
Tripping over a 3-inch-high hurdle in fourth form gym (I was 14) with BOTH FEET and getting concussion.
What song will they play at your funeral.
Hopefully Mozart’s Requiem. What else?
Can you share a sandwich filling?
Nothing beats avocado, tomato, cheese and sprouts.
With a million dollars, I’d…
Save, invest and buy a bouncy castle.

I’m going to do this too, been a bit of a bleh week for blogging for me.
October 22nd, 2007 at 8:22 amAvocado? For Sandwiches? You have spent way too much time in California I must say. I hate the stuff. They put it on everything in California and you cannot escape it. Oh well.
Hey how about another video post? Is that in the works? Hope so.
October 22nd, 2007 at 3:07 pmWhat’s up stranger! Personally, that sandwich sounds pretty tasty, although I’m extremely hungry atm, so I guess I’ll have to try for myself.
Hope all is well in the NZ, we all miss you!
October 22nd, 2007 at 6:53 pmCD? We’re going back a few generations there.
Says the girl who still reads the paper!
October 23rd, 2007 at 11:46 amRichard, I love avocado - was hooked long before California was even a twinkle in my eye. I will do another video post - just need time and a topic. Ideas?
Thanks Ryan, hope the post-job online business is booming!
Steve: Hehe, true. But I’ll stop reading the paper when I can sprawl on the floor with a screen a little more comfortably!
