Blog Minx

So we are well into August and I have not shared my July results for the Minx network. If you are not interested in such data then fine, go play whack the penguin and I’ll see you tomorrow. (My best = 321.)

Traffic

Rich Minx traffic was… slightly down (sob) because there were no big Stumbles. And also perhaps because I spent a lot of time on my new blog Travel Minx (see below) and moving countries. Still, RSS readership is going up steadily and visitors are spending longer on the site, so that’s good. The top article was 30 Blogging Resources For Newbie Bloggers. Closely followed by my About Me page. Ooh, better shove some ads on that page

Travel Minx traffic was up. There were lots of Stumbles. RSS numbers are rising. The Carnival of Travel Articles I’m hosting is growing fast. The top article for July was Living In A Foreign Country.

Movie Minx’s stats are lower than WalMart prices but I haven’t really promoted it yet or given it much attention at all, so that was expected. At the moment it is sitting in the corner with a packed lunch and no blogging friends.

Money made

AdSense income was more or less the same with the added bonus of a new direct wiring option for payments, so I don’t have to wait for a check via Snail Mail. I also got a bit of work on the side, which was always one of my main blogging aims. The total from everything is about $160. I’m pleased, as this was my third full month, but want to build sponsorships and affiliate income. Goals for August

• To increase traffic, linkbacks, RSS subscribers, income and world domination by at least 10%
• Write a balance of ‘pillar’ and funny posts that are on-topic; to make you laugh, cry and love again
• To make more blogging contacts by finding new blogs and posting wittily on forums
• Timestamp more posts so they appear as if by magic while I sleep
• Get my first page rank! For the love of Google, how long must I wait??
